Calendar Features

Worthington Adventist Academy is using a Google calendar to manage all events, functions and special dates. What does this mean for you? There are several advantages to this calendar that you can benefit from whether you are technical savvy or just a beginner with computers. Take a look at the list below of what is possible:

Reading

• As you are reading the calendar each event has more information available if you click on the event title. Some events are cut off because of the limited space and by clicking on the title you can view the entire entry.

Printing

• Google calendars are very flexible for printing. First select the view below at the top of the calendar window(Week, Month, or Agenda). After you have the look you want, click the print icon just next to those tabs. A window will open with options to preview and print your own calendar to hang on your fridge or wall at home.

Calendar Sharing

• If you have your own Google calendar, there is an icon at the bottom of the calendar on the WAA website that will allow you to add all the dates automatically to your own calendar.
• If you use Microsoft Outlook, there is a link at the top of the page that will also allow you to download all the dates and times into Outlook making it easy to stay up-to-date with all the current activities going on at the school.
• Even folks with iPhones can take advantage of this technology, click the link at the top of the page with your iPhone and it will also send the dates to your calendar.
